1. A Study to Evaluate the Effectiveness of Diaphragmatic Breathing on Reflux Symptoms in Outpatients

   Jacksonville, Fla.

   The purpose of this study is to establish if abdominal breathing exercises can reduce symptoms associated with reflux.

2. A Study to Evaluate the Effects of Tradipitant on Satiation, Gastric Volume, Gastric Accommodation, and Gastric Emptying in Healthy Volunteers

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of tradipitant relative to placebo in healthy volunteers:

   • Difference in fasting GV;
   • Difference in postprandial GV and in accommodation volume (that is, postprandial minus fasting gastric volumes);
   • Difference in gastric emptying (T1/2, emptying at 2h and emptying at 4h);
   • Volume to fullness (sensation of usual postprandial fullness) and maximum feeling of fullness (MTV).

3. A Study of Intratumoral Injection of Dendritic Cells after High-Dose Conformal External Beam Radiotherapy in Patients with Unresectable Liver Cancer

   Rochester, Minn.

   Group 1: The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of an autologous dendritic cells (DC) vaccine delivered by intra-tumoral injection in patients with primary liver cancer treated with high-dose conformal external beam radiotherapy (EBRT).

   Group 2: The primary purpose of this study is to estimate the progression-free survival rate at 2 years post-registration to see if treatment is efficacious compared to historical data

4. Mayo Clinic Inflammatory Bowel Disease Repository

   Rochester, Minn., Jacksonville, Fla., Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz.

   The purpose of this research study is to collect clinical information and human samples from patients with IBD. The data collected will be used to create an organized, accessible resource of human samples for biological research in IBD.

5. Detection of Plasma DNA Methylation in Peripheral Blood from Patients with Hepatocellular Carcinoma

   Rochester, Minn.

   This study aims to investigate the utility of using plasma DNA methylation to detect measurable residual disease or early recurrence/progression of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma.

6. A Study to Develop a Biorepository of Blood Samples from Cancer Patients Participating in the Gemini (IRB 19-006717) Protocol

   Jacksonville, Fla., Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz.

   The purpose of this study is to develop a biorepository of blood samples  from cancer patients participating in the Gemini (IRB 19-006717) protocol. These samples will be used for future biomarker discovery and other translational studies. 

7. A Study to Assess Clonal Diversity of Freshly Taken ESD Specimens

   Rochester, Minn.

   Inclusion Criteria:

   • Patients with Barrett’s Esophagus (BE) or Esophageal Adenocarcinoma (EAC) that are planned for Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD) treatment.

   Exclusion Criteria: 

   • Patients without BE or EAC or that are not planned for ESD treatment.

8. Minimally Invasive Molecular Approaches for the Diagnosis of Barrett's Esophagus and Esophageal Adenocarcinoma

   Rochester, Minn., Mankato, Minn., La Crosse, Wis., Jacksonville, Fla., Eau Claire, Wis., Austin, Minn., Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz.

   This study will evaluate if the sponge capsule device can accurately detect the presence of Barrett's Esophagus and prevalent dysplasia/adenocarcinoma detection, in a screening population, with and without chronic gastroesophageal reflux disease.

9. A Study to Evaluate the Therapeutic Effectiveness of Rifaximin in Diabetic Gastroparesis Patients Using Bloating as the Primary Endpoint

   The primary purpose of this study is to prospectively assess symptoms of bloating (severity, prevalence) in patients with diabetic gastroparesis.

10. Trans-Pacific Multicenter Collaborative Study of Minimally Invasive Proximal Versus Total Gastrectomy for Proximal Gastric and Gastroesophageal Junction Cancers
