Trainee Remediation Trends and Outcome Rochester, Minn. The aim of this study is to better identify trends in trainee remediation and outcome in a large quaternary care academic institution, in an effort to improve the success of these efforts. Study of Adjuvant Cemiplimab Versus Placebo After Surgery and Radiation Therapy in Patients With High Risk Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz. The purpose of this study is to compare disease-free survival (DFS) of patients with high-risk cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC) treated with adjuvant cemiplimab, versus those treated with placebo, after surgery and radiation therapy (RT). The secondary objectives of the study is to compare the overall survival (OS) of high-risk CSCC patients treated with adjuvant cemiplimab, versus those treated with placebo, after surgery and RT -To compare the effect of adjuvant cemiplimab with that of placebo on patients' freedom from locoregional recurrence (FFLRR) after surgery and RT; to compare the effect of adjuvant cemiplimab with that of placebo on patients' freedom from distant recurrence (FFDR) after surgery and RT; to compare the effect of adjuvant cemiplimab with that of placebo on the cumulative incidence of second primary CSCC tumors (SPTs) after surgery and RT; to evaluate the safety of adjuvant cemiplimab and that of placebo in high-risk CSCC patients after surgery and RT; to assess cemiplimab pharmacokinetics and immunogenicity in human serum. 3D Ultrasound Imaging for Breast Cancer Diagnosis Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveess of a new 3D ultrasound imaging technology combining B-mode, microvessel imaging, shear wave elastography, and machine learning for breast lesion diagnosis. A Study to Evaluate Comprehensive Arthroscopic Management (CAM) Procedure with Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC) for Shoulder Osteoarthritis (OA) Jacksonville, Fla. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and feasibility of concentrated bone marrow aspirate administration after Comprehensive Arthroscopic Management (CAM) surgical procedure, and to determine pain relief, disease progression and range of motion in patients with osteoarthritis of the shoulder. A Study to Compare the Cosmetic Outcome of Superomedial and Inferior Pedicle Breast Reduction Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is to compare the cosmetic outcome of Superomedial and Inferior Pedical Breast Reduction. Toward an Objective Assessment of Surgical Outcomes and Facial and Body Deformity Using Eyetracking Technology Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is to explore the visual markers that lead to differential perception of patients before and after plastic surgery procedures. By examining the early stages of visual processing that occur when an observer encounters images of affected individuals, we may reveal the focus and time-course of impression formation, and possibly help surgeons and their patients pinpoint the facial features that are most salient to viewers. A Study to Analyze Surgical Outcomes and Predictors of Treatment for Hip Diseases Rochester, Minn. This study is designed to: -analyze effects of surgical treatment -improve surgical care and quality of life of patients with hip problems/diseases -ID predictors of surgical outcomes to identify/improve future treatments -Collect data, images, from patients undergoing surgical treatment of hip disorders (we will not be collecting social security numbers to send to Washington University). A Study to Evaluate Outcomes of Shoulder Arthroplasty Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the outcomes and complications in patients who have received a hemiarthroplasty, anatomic total shoulder, or reverse total shoulder arthroplasty. A Study to Measure the Proteins Expressed in tissue Samples from Women who have been Treated with New Endocrine Therapy for Invasive Lobular Breast Cancer Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness of fulvestrant to anastrozole or tamoxifen in treating invasive lobular breast cancer, by measuring the level of the biomarker Ki67 found in tumor tissue before and then after treatment. Patient-Centered Outcomes in the Surgical Treatment of Uterovaginal Prolapse Jacksonville, Fla. The purpose of this study is to compare two types of surgery for the treatment of uterovaginal prolapse to determine which surgery works best from a patient's perspective and has the lowest number of short-term and long-term complications. The patient comes first. So the mission and research here is to advance how we can best help the patient, how to make sure the patient comes first in care. So in many ways, it's a cycle. It can start with as simple as an idea worked on in a laboratory, brought to the patient bedside, and if everything goes right — and let's say it's helpful or beneficial — then brought on as a standard approach. And I think that is one of the unique characteristics of Mayo's approach to research — that patient-centeredness — that really helps to put it in its own spotlight.
